Procedure
I. Introduction
T: Good morning, everyone! I’m glad to see you! How
are you today? If you look at the blackboard, you will easily understand what
we are going to speak about today. Of course we will speak about transport and
travelling. Travelling is always a very interesting and exciting experience for
everybody. We may travel not only abroad but also around our country, our town
or village. Let’s look at the quotation by St. Augustine. How do you understand
this quotation?
“The world is a
book and those who don’t travel read only one page.”
St. Augustine
P: When we travel, we really feel like reading. Every
new country and every new corner of the world is one more page to read from the
book of life. That’s way the more we travel, the more books we read.
II. Warm-up
T: If you travel, you should be in a good mood. Let’s
read such poem:
If you want to be in a good mood,
You don’t go by car, go on foot.
If you want to go far away,
You don’t go by car, you go by plane.
T: What prepositions do we use with the means of transport?

friend. You had to write where you were, what the place was like and what is
special about it.
Suggested answer key:
Dear Kate,
Greetings from Luxor, Egypt. It’s a beautiful place
but it’s much hotter than back home. There’s so much to see and do here.
Yesterday we went on a cruise up the Nile and saw beautiful temples and ancient
ruins. It’s the most exciting trip ever. See you next week.
Amanda.

Yes, why not?
It’ll be cheaper.
